Fantasma! foi lançado em junho de 1991 no Japão. O jogo apresentava uma verdadeira casa de boneca conectada a um motor estilo pinball. Os motores permitiam que certas partes da casa de boneca se movessem sob o controle da CPU (para permitir que os fantasmas saíssem do banheiro, etc.). Para projetar os fantasmas, um monitor foi colocado na base do gabinete, projetando uma imagem invertida sobre uma vidraça. Este sistema provou ser uma maneira tão boa de remover interferência ao operar armas leves genuínas (aquelas em Golly! Ghost! Eram na verdade joysticks) que este sistema de reflexão tem sido usado em jogos de armas leves verticais da Namco desde então (incluindo "Point Blank"). Um ponto interessante, já que os fantasmas não estão nesta dimensão e podem atravessar paredes, por que eles precisam abrir portas para entrar?
