Botões: 3 por jogador. - Curiosidades - Mesmo que a tela de título indique 1994, Mach Breakers foi lançado em janeiro de 1995 no Japão. Em “Tekken 3”, também da Namco, o personagem Bryan Fury possui um movimento especial chamado ‘Mach Breaker’. --- DA NAMCO: Vimos o jogo anterior, Numan Athletics, e pensamos "provavelmente poderíamos fazer algo com um número ainda maior de personagens, com mais personalidade e eventos ainda mais divertidos e inusitados". Queríamos algo que capturasse o conceito de “aqueles que vão além” do jogo anterior, por isso demos a ele o nome de “Mach Breakers”, que significa “aqueles que conseguem quebrar até mesmo a barreira do som”. Primeiro começaríamos escrevendo uma visão geral do personagem e depois apresentando uma proposta mais concreta. Então, para os designs preliminares, enviaríamos solicitações ao designer especificando caráter geral, tipo de corpo, penteado e quaisquer características específicas. Os eventos acabaram sendo uma espécie de sorteio de ambas as propostas trabalhadas como um esforço colaborativo, e essas pessoas se submeteram sozinhas. Tomamos nossa decisão sobre qual dessas propostas seguir, considerando o equilíbrio geral do jogo.
